it's hump day!!!!

 hi guys.

this week i decided i cant be english anymore. well at least i cant say hiya anymore. its not american. and sister bornemann said i sound better as an american anyway. so there.

it sounds like you guys have had a really good week. but a busy one. what is this about going to disneyland and harry potter world? i want to come.. so you could go next year yeah? cool. if not, have so much fun anyway. mac dog the mulliss' are coming. im really excited as well. that other kid is an elder that i served with. the one that made me eat haggis. elder watt. he might go to byu so he is coming to check it out.

mom it is interestint that you mentioned that about la work. i was talking with sister b about not having much success baptism wise. we talked about how in utah there is much more la work to be done there than new members. and i thought about how awesome you are working with less active sisters. that is so neat! what another great part of the work that is. we are able to help people strengthen their faith in the savior. and that is really neat too!!

questions. i read alma 5 this week and that may have to be my favorite chapter in the book of mormon. you all should read it. i love happy hippos. i will send some at chirstmas. sister bornemann is funny all of the time. i cant just write one thing funny that she says. best food of the week is soup and cheese sandwiches. we eat that a lot. i mean oft. but its so good.

we had a really big week. elder dyches of the seventy came and spoke at our zone conference. he spoke in last general conference and he is so cool. he really taught me a lot and it was really cool to be taught by him and his wife they are great. as are president and sister rasmussen. they are wonderful. i love being able to see them often. i also went on exchange this week to harborne which was fun. i got to be in a car for a day which was.. so so nice. i miss driving. i havent driven a car for over nine months. its weird. but exchange was fun. we have so many cool people that we have started to work with here in bedworth. the work is starting to really move forward in this area and it is awesome! we are really being blessed here and it is something that we are so grateful for. i love it. sonia is a new investigator that is great. we found her late one night on our way home. she rocks. kristine is a lady that we see often but havent started to teach. she is struggling in her life, but loves us. gb is still sitting, not moving much. except he came to church again which was great. and vanessa is a cute cute girl we have met that we have an appointment to see this week. pray for those people. and cliff and josie. a referral. they are wonderful and we really want to see them progress. i love them all. its amazing how much you can come to love someone after knowing them for such a short period of time.

i have one funny story this week. so we were walking home from a place called bulkington and it had been raining that day. we stopped to look at the map or something when all of the sudden a car came flying past, through a puddle. the water flew up, missed sister bornemann, and soaked me. it was like a movie, and in slow motion. it was so funny. we were laughing for ages about it. but i have dried out and still think that its hilarious.

well that is really it for this week. i sometimes have so much to say, but i dont know how to put it into words. the work is amazing. i love it. and the ward here is incredible as well. they make my day! we got to know another family better yesterday and that was cool. i love that opportunity to meet so many amazing people.

you all are great. thank you for your letters and for remembering me. i am so blessed. i was telling dad how much i love you all. i really miss you and cant wait till i get to see you again. i have been out longer than i have left, i think. wow. but again i love you and pray for you daily. thanks for being the best examples to me and to all those around you. be that example of christ. its vital.

love you.

A pumpkin kind of week

 hej. (danish for hi.)

family hey. it sounds like you all are doing great, as always. you are getting so big. well just older and taller. i cant believe it sometimes. and i love that everyweek, in at least one photo you send, someone is wearing some of my clothes. i really do love that. it means that you are remembering me! haha. keep being great though. and telling me about all the fun things that you are doing. i love that. good luck to grandma jo this week in her surgery. and i hope and pray that she gets feeling better soon. i love that lady. did she get my last letter?

this week the weather has gotten quite a bit colder. which is actually quite nice. except for the boots i bought a few weeks ago arent holding up so well. we had to super glue them this week. hopefully they will make it a bit longer. but the weather isnt to bad. its raining today and cold, but everyone is still outside. oh the english people. love them. today is rememberance sunday and they have had a parade type thing happening right outside the library so we have been watching that a bit as we email.

this week was a really good week for the sisters in nuneaton b. we were so blessed to have two member referrals that we had lessons with. one from the ableys and one from dougie (a young men). the first was dougie's friend megan. she is interested in religion and attends chirstian youth group with dougie. she is really awesome. loves dr. who. she prayed in the lesson and was really open to reading and praying about the book of mormon. hopefully she will have those answers that she is looking for and be able to come to church next week. the other was the ableys neighbor anne. she lost her husband a few years ago and is struggling with that a bit. we were able to talk with her about the plan of salvation and learn how to help her a bit more. she also commited to read and pray which is a good step. we had another miracle this week with GB. we were taking a break from teaching him so that he could decide some things for himself. but we stopped by this weekend, and he told us he was going to come to church on sunday. and he loved it. he was only able to come for sacrament meeting, but it was great. we had a few investigators at the meeting and also two less actives that the four of us ahve been working with. its awesome.

we also had a pumpkin bowling activity on saturday that was awesome! we were in charge of it and worked with a few members to get things sorted out. it was so much fun. we had quite a good turn out as well. a few non members and less actives came which was awesome! the members seemed to love it and were so helpful! and they loved pumpkin cookies! there is a women who lives here for three months and in america for three months who came and brought three non members who are originally from greece. and then they came to church yesterday! it was great! hopefully we will be able to start teaching them soon! things are going great in nuneaton for us and the elders now. we are feeling very blessed and hope that things continue to progress here. thank you for all your prayers and support.

i also cant belive that one year ago i opened my call and nine months ago i left home. its all gone by so quickly. its a bit nuts actually. but its good. i am loving things. the work is moving forward. i love you all lots and hope that you have a great week. keep being that egbert fam that i know and love. yeah you will be.. always! love you kids.

Staying put in Nuneaton

 hello kids.

sounds like you all had a great week. and have a good week planned as well. happy birthday to grandma jo! i hope that she had a great day. and kacie did more band things this week? man i think that is so funny! i dont know why, but everytime i imagine it in my head, its like her running around playing guitar hero. that is what i see. but i bet that you are hoosing it up! and cool that you ran that half. i cant wait to do it next year with you. way cool that elder perry came to speak. he is one of my favorites. he has so much energy and excitement for everything. i love the apostles. and ty is home? where did he go.. i forgot? and jaron is home and joe gets home in 2 weeks on the 18th!! and then the twins get home at the beginning of december! i cant believe this. everyone is already coming home. its nuts! but so cool. i hope they all are doing great.

well we had an alright week here. transfers week always seems really long, even if you dont get moved. we did a lot of finding. a lot. but it was good. we were also able to do some service for those in our ward. sister brown works at a craft center in nuneaton and asked that we help set up santas house for christmas. so us and the elders went to help and to meet her friends. it was really fun and a good chance to meet some of her friends. the browns also had a halloween party for us on halloween. they decorated their house and we had halloween candy as well. they are awesome! it was a lot of fun. There are some other members in our ward, the ableys, who we call grandma and grandpa. they have bought us matching animal print onsies. its seriously hilarious. we wear them quite a lot. they are so warm and soft as well. we saw them on monday evening and as we said the prayer to leave sister abley prayed for us and said, ''we love the sisters, we want to adopt them..'' then she started laughing so hard. it was so funny. she is such a silly lady. i love them.

we had stake conference as well this weekend and it was awesome! 6 hours of meetings about missionary work. it was great. president and sister rasmussen were there which was really great. and we were able to learn a lot. i love that everything is about the work right now. it just shows us that the lord is hastening his work and we are all a part of it. its our job to share the message with the world, well our friends and family. so lets all pray for those opportunities!!

this week while we were finding we stopped one lady and began talking to her about her health problems. She said that has caused her to lose some of her faith and we were able to testify of the power of the atonement and how it can help us in each of our lives. that is something that i have studied a lot this week. the atonement. it is so powerful. and when people realize what the savior has done for them and how they can be blessed, you can see the physical change that comes over them. but her name was joan. so if you can pray for her, gb, and alfie and his dad that we met this week. also the dennisons.

you guys are amazing. all of you. thanks for all of your support and love and sacrafice. i have the best family. i know that i say that every week but its true. you all rock. keep up the great work. we will all be blessed for the selfless service that we offer to the lord. he loves us.

love you lots.
