sounds like you had a really fun time at the lundberg reunion and in ak. I love hearing about all that you guys are doing and the fun experiences that you are having. yeah that they half is over. I think im going to run it. and I now have on my bucket list to run a marathon. dani and mom and kacie? you in? oh I am way excited for matt and jake and to see elder hainey maybe soon. so cool that he is going here to the ebm. lucky kid. this is the earths best mission for sure. I hope you two younger kids have fun at rob and shelleys. I love their family. they wrote me letters a bit ago and it was so good to hear from them.
this past week was really good. I have to tell you about one of my favourite parts of the week. so we were doing some street contacting in city center. in an area that we like to call golden dragon finding area. it is right by the university and there are usually loads of students there. and Chinese students. they are the best. we stopped this Chinese student and started talking with her and walking as well. she was really cool and was telling us about her studies. we asked her how to say certain words in Chinese and asked if she would be willing to teach us. she said yes and that we could teach her about religion. so we are going to see our friend tracy this week to learn Chinese and to teach her! it was a neat experience. I am really excited!
we also had an exchange this week with our sister trainer leaders. that was really good. I love to learn from the older missionaries and get their input on certain things. they are both going home soon, but are still rock solid missionaries. I love them. and they brought me my package finally. yeah! thank you guys so much. I was loving that. especially the granola bites!
we were able to teach my good friend Gordon this week as well. Gordon is an older man that we met in the park one day. he pats my face and its slightly weird, but he is cool. he took a book of Mormon and said that he was going to read it cover to cover! what a stud. and we met another man from London who wanted a book of Mormon as well. it was just a really good finding week and we are excited to do more of it. I love finding.
oh the mulliss family are amazing. heather and I had a great chat this week after dinner while we did the dishes. I was just sharing lots of things with her and she gave me some good advice. and their kids, I just love them. baby jude is pretty cute! so they were going to come to America this year, but they have decided to wait until next year. they are planning on coming next august, right when I get home. so you can meet them. and they are trying to help elder watt get there as well so he can maybe go to byu to play football (soccer). they are some of the most generous people ever. you guys will love them.
family. I love you all so much and I really miss you. I know though, how important this work is. it is hard, but it is the lords work. if it wasn't easy for Christ, it will never ever be easy for us. we are here to serve and to further the work. we can all do our part to help him. there is one of him and so many of us. through us he can accomplish his work. so don't be afraid to do the work. I know that this church is true and our prophet, Thomas s monson, leads and guides us with inspiration from the lord. the book of Mormon is the way to grow closer to Christ. we can learn more about him through that book, than I think any other book. it is awesome. read it. I am so grateful for this chance that I can dedicate my life to the lord and his work. it is something that I never thought I would do.. but here I am. and I love it. you can receive so much joy through this work. no matter what. even on days when it cant get any worse, you find something to make it better. a miracle. I am grateful for all that you do for me to support me while I am serving. as you serve, you realize the things that matter most, and that is family. and the gospel. so I am so grateful for all of you. I love you. more than you know.
I hope that you have a great week and see many of your own miracles!
love, sister j
