transfer week again

yo kids.

it sounds like you are getting stoaked for Christmas. whoop whoop. and then we get to Skype. yeah I am so excited for that! I cant wait guys. to see your lovely little faces. its gonna be fab. also it sounds slash looks like temple square was the best. I guess London temple does that too.. to bad I don't get to go. maybe one day I will come back with you all and we can go. saweet.

so the zoo was so good. you all know how much I love the zoo and it was great. I mean there were no giraffes so that was tough, but it was great! I love the zoo and there were a lot of cool Asian animals. Asian elephants. Asian otters. you know how I love Asian as well. I have decided that I want to be like russel and Julie and adopt a Chinese child.

to be honest I don't really remember what happened this week. it went by so quickly. but it was good. we walked our friend chirstines dogs for service. ok let me tell you about Christine. she was baptized about 30 years ago and went for a few years but her husband didn't love that so he took their names off. recently she got into contact with the missionary who baptized her who got in contact with the bishop who got in contact with us and we have begun to teach her and she is set to be baptized the sunday before Christmas. its amazing and so is she. she loves church and is so excited to come back! so teaching her has been really good for us as well. since she remembers most everything its good practice for us to teach her the lessons again. and she is loving it, like I said. but its awesome. I love that lady. she is going through a lot of tough things right now in her life, but she is looking forward to being baptized again.

there is a less active woman that the elders have been working with that we first contacted back with sister moser. we decided to call all of the less actives that we could and try to set up appointments with them. ellen was one of the only people that said that we could come by. we weren't able to got for a few weeks, but finally got around to seeing her. we began teaching her and working to help her come back to church and stop smoking. she was very afraid to stop smoking because last time she did she had a stoke soon after. but after we split the area she was in the elders area so they began teaching her. eventually she began coming to church and she has been smoke free for about 3 weeks. yesterday she had set up to meet with the Bishop about a temple recommend. she left during Sunday School and then came back during Relief Society. I went to speak to her after and she had tears in her eyes. she had been able to get a temple recommend. she didn't think that she would be able to get it so quickly and she was blow away. her excitement caused me to tear up as well. It was so neat. I don't know about her, but I could feel the spirit so strongly as she told me about how excited she was. she said that she was so excited she would jump if she could. she is the cutest! It has been amazing to see her grow, even if I haven't been able to teach her. she will be a part of my life forever.

we also came into contact with a women the other day whose dad had been a member. and she was so excited to tell him that she met us, she even took a leaflet. she didn't want to meet with us, but she was excited! and we talked with a couple who the wife said she would read the book of Mormon because she loves the osmonds. it was neat.

well I got the package and put up the decorations. thanks kids. I love it. it hasn't been too bad weather wise here. it hasn't rained for a bit which is good because I only have like one pair of really rubbish shoes to wear. I need to buy some new ones.. but sometimes I couldn't be bothered. soon though. fav memory is sleeping together in the same room. ill miss that this year. are you still gonna do it? best English word this week is fab. love and hate that word. its tacky but I like it. this week has been good as I have studied many things, like today about keeping the Sabbath day holy. that is so important. it is the only day we have to fully focus on the lord. its kind of like being a missionary for a day. so I want to challenge you guys to be a missionary for a day on sunday. do you think you can do it? who is up for the challenge? let me know and I will tell you the rules. ha I love you all. and I still think that I am the funniest.. yes. and grandpas favourite. ha ooook one funny thing I did this week, because you all are wondering. yesterday walking home in the dark I was singing to sister bornemann so loud. ''all creatures of our god and kind.'' she loved it.

well I think you all are great and I honestly CANT WAIT to Skype you in a few weeks. maybe I will be here maybe I will be in wales maybe ill be somewhere else. we will know tonight so next week I will let you know. thanks guys for being the best family eva. you guys rock. I know that I tell you that every week but its true. and I am glad you liked my letter. if you want to write back that would be fab. I would love that lots. love letters. k well I hope that you have another great week and enjoy the snow. I am excited to see photos of the igloo. sounds fun. love you lots and lots. don't forget to pray everyday together!! the lord loves us and wants to help us, so lets ask for that help and he will be more that happy to jump in.

love you kids.

throwing up in a bush

Yo folks. it sounds like you had the best week ever. thanks for letting me join in, I had so much fun! really though I loved the pictures. it made me so happy! you rock.

so this week was pretty eventful, but I would say throwing up in a bush on the side of the road was very... yep. then sister bornemann was sick so we were inside for a day being quite sick. but we watched the district, yeah. we are mostly better now, don't worry. we had a thanksgiving dinner with a way nice family in the ward here. loved that. this ward rocks.

so we taught a lady this week that has been taught by the j dubbs for a year.. but hey it was pretty cool. then we started teaching a lady who was baptised about thirty years ago but her husband had her name removed. and a lady we contacted and loved called us yesterday. things are happening and its pretty sweet!! so if you could pray for GB still, Christine, sandra, Kristine, Sonia, and the dennisons .. thanks so much for your prayers. they are definitely felt. keep praying.

so I feel bad this is a really bad email, but were going to the zoo soon! and I'm typing on an iPad so its taking forever.. but honestly guys thanks so much for not forgetting me, ha and taking me places. I love that so much. And all of you. I am so grateful for the love and support that I get from you all, its amazing. keep working hard and being a witness of Christ. that'swhat its all about becoming like him. never forget to get on your knees when you need help. he hears us, no matter what. I love you all so much, more than you know. And I'm so excited to Skype soon!!! I hope that you have a mega great week. Love you lots.

Love, sister j.

lovin the ward

dudes. whats up?

so i love that you went to hunger games. and that it was good. i am excited to see it next year. itll be cool. it sounds like you had a fun week and will have another fun week this week. thanksgiving. yeah they dont have that holiday here.. but i keep talking about it. and it annoys sister b. its tradition though. are you running the turkey trot around the block? thank you for the treats and warm things! loved that and i am excited to keep wearing those. its starting to get colder here now. and it snowed for like 2 seconds the other day. i was so excited!! mom i have been getting those letters thanks, i dont have loads of time to read them, but i do like hearing about how everyone is doing. so thats good! and it sounds like you have a lot of fun things planned for the next few months that is awesome! i hope you have fun.

today i read jacob 5. i forget how much i love that chapter. even though it can be very hard to read and understand it is incredible! i love reading the book of mormon. we really can apply it so much to ourselves at this time. love that. ok we had a really cool think happen this week. our investigator sonia. we were supposed to teach her a week ago on monday but when we got to her house she said that she was really sick and maybe had shingles. she wouldnt know for a few days, but if she did we wouldne be able to see her for 2 weeks. so we had the zone pray for her to be well. two days later we called to see how she was doing, and it turned out that she is ok. doesnt have shingles but is just a bit sick! it was cool. so we are going to see her tonight hopefully and set a baptismal date with her. she is so cool!

we have a part member slash less active family that we are working with, the robinsons. they are ok. we have set up lifts for them two weeks in a row to come to church.. but they have not come both times. it is a bit frustrating, but it will be ok. maybe next week. and we are going to be finding like crazy to find new people to teach this week. the ward just rededicated the area yesterday so hopefully things will get moving now.

the best thing about nuneaton is the people in the ward. they are awesome!i love the ward and how much they want to help us. we had dinner with a family last night, the jones. and they are great. as is every other family here. i love that they are so willing to help us and make us feel loved. couldnt ask for anything better.

well you guys are great. i hope that you have a great thanksgiving and remember the things that you are really grateful for. i will make a list all week and think of the things that i am most grateful.. starting with you all and the gospel. thanks for everything that you do and the prayers that you say. i love you, and i know i say it every week but i am so blessed to have a family like you!!

it's hump day!!!!

 hi guys.

this week i decided i cant be english anymore. well at least i cant say hiya anymore. its not american. and sister bornemann said i sound better as an american anyway. so there.

it sounds like you guys have had a really good week. but a busy one. what is this about going to disneyland and harry potter world? i want to come.. so you could go next year yeah? cool. if not, have so much fun anyway. mac dog the mulliss' are coming. im really excited as well. that other kid is an elder that i served with. the one that made me eat haggis. elder watt. he might go to byu so he is coming to check it out.

mom it is interestint that you mentioned that about la work. i was talking with sister b about not having much success baptism wise. we talked about how in utah there is much more la work to be done there than new members. and i thought about how awesome you are working with less active sisters. that is so neat! what another great part of the work that is. we are able to help people strengthen their faith in the savior. and that is really neat too!!

questions. i read alma 5 this week and that may have to be my favorite chapter in the book of mormon. you all should read it. i love happy hippos. i will send some at chirstmas. sister bornemann is funny all of the time. i cant just write one thing funny that she says. best food of the week is soup and cheese sandwiches. we eat that a lot. i mean oft. but its so good.

we had a really big week. elder dyches of the seventy came and spoke at our zone conference. he spoke in last general conference and he is so cool. he really taught me a lot and it was really cool to be taught by him and his wife they are great. as are president and sister rasmussen. they are wonderful. i love being able to see them often. i also went on exchange this week to harborne which was fun. i got to be in a car for a day which was.. so so nice. i miss driving. i havent driven a car for over nine months. its weird. but exchange was fun. we have so many cool people that we have started to work with here in bedworth. the work is starting to really move forward in this area and it is awesome! we are really being blessed here and it is something that we are so grateful for. i love it. sonia is a new investigator that is great. we found her late one night on our way home. she rocks. kristine is a lady that we see often but havent started to teach. she is struggling in her life, but loves us. gb is still sitting, not moving much. except he came to church again which was great. and vanessa is a cute cute girl we have met that we have an appointment to see this week. pray for those people. and cliff and josie. a referral. they are wonderful and we really want to see them progress. i love them all. its amazing how much you can come to love someone after knowing them for such a short period of time.

i have one funny story this week. so we were walking home from a place called bulkington and it had been raining that day. we stopped to look at the map or something when all of the sudden a car came flying past, through a puddle. the water flew up, missed sister bornemann, and soaked me. it was like a movie, and in slow motion. it was so funny. we were laughing for ages about it. but i have dried out and still think that its hilarious.

well that is really it for this week. i sometimes have so much to say, but i dont know how to put it into words. the work is amazing. i love it. and the ward here is incredible as well. they make my day! we got to know another family better yesterday and that was cool. i love that opportunity to meet so many amazing people.

you all are great. thank you for your letters and for remembering me. i am so blessed. i was telling dad how much i love you all. i really miss you and cant wait till i get to see you again. i have been out longer than i have left, i think. wow. but again i love you and pray for you daily. thanks for being the best examples to me and to all those around you. be that example of christ. its vital.

love you.

A pumpkin kind of week

 hej. (danish for hi.)

family hey. it sounds like you all are doing great, as always. you are getting so big. well just older and taller. i cant believe it sometimes. and i love that everyweek, in at least one photo you send, someone is wearing some of my clothes. i really do love that. it means that you are remembering me! haha. keep being great though. and telling me about all the fun things that you are doing. i love that. good luck to grandma jo this week in her surgery. and i hope and pray that she gets feeling better soon. i love that lady. did she get my last letter?

this week the weather has gotten quite a bit colder. which is actually quite nice. except for the boots i bought a few weeks ago arent holding up so well. we had to super glue them this week. hopefully they will make it a bit longer. but the weather isnt to bad. its raining today and cold, but everyone is still outside. oh the english people. love them. today is rememberance sunday and they have had a parade type thing happening right outside the library so we have been watching that a bit as we email.

this week was a really good week for the sisters in nuneaton b. we were so blessed to have two member referrals that we had lessons with. one from the ableys and one from dougie (a young men). the first was dougie's friend megan. she is interested in religion and attends chirstian youth group with dougie. she is really awesome. loves dr. who. she prayed in the lesson and was really open to reading and praying about the book of mormon. hopefully she will have those answers that she is looking for and be able to come to church next week. the other was the ableys neighbor anne. she lost her husband a few years ago and is struggling with that a bit. we were able to talk with her about the plan of salvation and learn how to help her a bit more. she also commited to read and pray which is a good step. we had another miracle this week with GB. we were taking a break from teaching him so that he could decide some things for himself. but we stopped by this weekend, and he told us he was going to come to church on sunday. and he loved it. he was only able to come for sacrament meeting, but it was great. we had a few investigators at the meeting and also two less actives that the four of us ahve been working with. its awesome.

we also had a pumpkin bowling activity on saturday that was awesome! we were in charge of it and worked with a few members to get things sorted out. it was so much fun. we had quite a good turn out as well. a few non members and less actives came which was awesome! the members seemed to love it and were so helpful! and they loved pumpkin cookies! there is a women who lives here for three months and in america for three months who came and brought three non members who are originally from greece. and then they came to church yesterday! it was great! hopefully we will be able to start teaching them soon! things are going great in nuneaton for us and the elders now. we are feeling very blessed and hope that things continue to progress here. thank you for all your prayers and support.

i also cant belive that one year ago i opened my call and nine months ago i left home. its all gone by so quickly. its a bit nuts actually. but its good. i am loving things. the work is moving forward. i love you all lots and hope that you have a great week. keep being that egbert fam that i know and love. yeah you will be.. always! love you kids.

Staying put in Nuneaton

 hello kids.

sounds like you all had a great week. and have a good week planned as well. happy birthday to grandma jo! i hope that she had a great day. and kacie did more band things this week? man i think that is so funny! i dont know why, but everytime i imagine it in my head, its like her running around playing guitar hero. that is what i see. but i bet that you are hoosing it up! and cool that you ran that half. i cant wait to do it next year with you. way cool that elder perry came to speak. he is one of my favorites. he has so much energy and excitement for everything. i love the apostles. and ty is home? where did he go.. i forgot? and jaron is home and joe gets home in 2 weeks on the 18th!! and then the twins get home at the beginning of december! i cant believe this. everyone is already coming home. its nuts! but so cool. i hope they all are doing great.

well we had an alright week here. transfers week always seems really long, even if you dont get moved. we did a lot of finding. a lot. but it was good. we were also able to do some service for those in our ward. sister brown works at a craft center in nuneaton and asked that we help set up santas house for christmas. so us and the elders went to help and to meet her friends. it was really fun and a good chance to meet some of her friends. the browns also had a halloween party for us on halloween. they decorated their house and we had halloween candy as well. they are awesome! it was a lot of fun. There are some other members in our ward, the ableys, who we call grandma and grandpa. they have bought us matching animal print onsies. its seriously hilarious. we wear them quite a lot. they are so warm and soft as well. we saw them on monday evening and as we said the prayer to leave sister abley prayed for us and said, ''we love the sisters, we want to adopt them..'' then she started laughing so hard. it was so funny. she is such a silly lady. i love them.

we had stake conference as well this weekend and it was awesome! 6 hours of meetings about missionary work. it was great. president and sister rasmussen were there which was really great. and we were able to learn a lot. i love that everything is about the work right now. it just shows us that the lord is hastening his work and we are all a part of it. its our job to share the message with the world, well our friends and family. so lets all pray for those opportunities!!

this week while we were finding we stopped one lady and began talking to her about her health problems. She said that has caused her to lose some of her faith and we were able to testify of the power of the atonement and how it can help us in each of our lives. that is something that i have studied a lot this week. the atonement. it is so powerful. and when people realize what the savior has done for them and how they can be blessed, you can see the physical change that comes over them. but her name was joan. so if you can pray for her, gb, and alfie and his dad that we met this week. also the dennisons.

you guys are amazing. all of you. thanks for all of your support and love and sacrafice. i have the best family. i know that i say that every week but its true. you all rock. keep up the great work. we will all be blessed for the selfless service that we offer to the lord. he loves us.

love you lots.

Will she be transferred?

hiya family who are all official members of the church now.

holy, brevin is baptized now!! that is so awesome! those photos honestly were so great. everyone is so big though, just growing so much. seriously. everyone looks so much older. stop growin guys. no it looked like it was a lot of fun and it sounded even better. sorry that i scare you sometimes with my cardboard cutout. (loved that by the way) please keep it. and put tizfiz face on that. i do miss that dog sometimes. just sometimes though. there is a family we are working with and their dog is the same as tizzy. but bigger i think. brevin, i loved what you said about how you felt like you were doing the right thing. it was definitely the right thing for you to do. baptism is the first step in becoming like our heavenly father and growing closer to him. he wants us to. so we must. keeping always striving to keep those baptismal covenants and work so you can make others in the future. you are a stud. and so cool that ryan could baptize you and that all of those people could be there. i wish i could have been there but i am so pleased that you had a good time. you will have to tell me all about it later. so write it down in a journal. (also have i told you about the boy in our ward who could be brevins twin? daniel grant is 8 and so great! he bore his testimony yesterday and had it written down. he talked about how he use to think that church was a waste of time, but now he loves it.. he is the funniest boy! i loved his testimony.)

so this week i joined you all in being a bit sick. on friday i started to have really bad stomach pains and could barely talk it was so bad. sister rasmussen almost had me go to the a&e but it was late in the evening when we decided that so we chose to wait till morning. it was a bit better so we didnt. but it was ok. we were supposed to have a dinner appointment with the grants but instead they just brought us our dinner. it was so nice. i love that family!! and it was a really good dinner, that i just ate the next day.

really this week was just full of finding and being sick and having interviews with president. it was a pretty average week. except on sunday. sunday was awesome! there are some members in the ward here that are seriously hoosing it up. the grays. they served in madagascar the same time as jon elbakri. but they are really trying to find people to share the gospel with. they had dinner at an indian resturant this week and were able to talk with their waitress about the church. and she ended up coming yesterday with her friend. they are both 16 years old and the sweetest girls! they are both muslium but interested in coming to young womens and church. i loved getting to sit with them in young womens and share the book of mormon with them. so cool. being in this area has really made me realize the importance of members in missionary work. we need members to help us find people to teach. they are the key. and some of our members are just doing great!!

we will find out tonight about transfers. i have felt like i will stay, besides these last few days. i dont know. prob i will stay. we will see.

i hope that you all are feeling ok and no one is too sick. you all sound so great and look even better. i love you all and i miss you, but i am so glad for this opportunity. it is a great one and i am learning so much. there is much to do in england. and everywhere really. (e had another missionary get home in this ward and he served in russia. they fact that this ward has so many missionaries out shows how ready they are.) keep sharing the gospel and being great examples! i love you. lots.

love, sister j xx

Indian is the new Chinese

 yoyo fa.mily.

well this week went by quite fast. and it was a good one. monday we were able to go to coleville and ravenstone which was really cool. feeling the spirit of elijah there. we tried to find grovestones.. and tried to get into the chapel, but no one would answer their phones or doors for us to get in. but we saw some cool sites. another really cool thing we did this week was a mission activity to a place called gadfield elm chapel. it is the oldest working chapel in the world for our church. we also went to a place called benbow farm. where wilford woodruff baptized over a thousand people during his time in england. it was really neat to hear the stories from president and remember our heritage. it was fun to see everyone and learn of the miracles happening in the mission. but you will have to research those places and find out more about them. they are really cool.

we had a cool experience this week after we got a hq referral. it was in hinckley and we were not able to get ahold of them by phone. so we went to try by their home, hoping that they were in. the referral was not there, but her husband was their. they are from india. and he told us to try by again on saturday. so we went back later in the week to talk with her. she was so very nice and said that she was really wondering about the book of mormon. she is christian and wants to know about the differences between the bible and the book of mormon. we were able to teach her a bit about the church and the book of mormon. she wasnt really interested in having us come and teach her but we were able to give her a book and she was so excited. she almost started reading it right their on the doorstep. sometimes it can be really hard when you work to share the gospel with people who you know are so prepared, but they want to learn themselves.. but her excitment gave us hope and we are excited to see what happens in the future. her name is jincy.

another miracle this week took place while we were tracting. we had knocked the street, and one final door where no one was home. i was ready to go to the next street but s bornemann wanted to do the next one. we knocked and no one came.. as we were walking away there was a voice from an upstairs window saying they would be right down. a middle-aged woman opened the door and we began talking with her. she said that she has great faith and told us of many hard experiences that she has had in her life. we talked for awhile and cried together. she is incredible. we also were able to share a book of mormon with her, and while we were not able to set up a solid return appointment, she said she would read the book of mormon. kristine is a choice daughter of god and i hope her heart will be softened so she will allow us to share more with her so she can learn more of christ.

we had to ''break-up'' with gb for a few weeks. he is going in circles and not progressing. everything is up to him now because we have taught all that we can. hopefully he will receive his answers soon. same with carrieann. she just isnt too interested. maybe later on. and jay.. we hardly see her. she is pretty flakey but we have an appointment tomorrow so we will see. but we saw a less active this week that we have never met. susan robinson. she is great. and said that she will come out in a few weeks when she is off work. love her.

it sounds like you all had a really fun week together. i am sad that i couldnt be there, but i know that you all had so much fun together. hopefully getting back into school isnt too bad. thanks for all or your cute letters and jokes. i love my family. and the photos. i love seeing you all. and thanks for the ensigns and such. i got them so fast and loved them. sister bornemann and i have been reading them already. and brevs picture is sooo cool!!

yes. it rains. like all the time. and my shoes have holes in them so my feet get soaked. a car.. would be so nice. but i think they call you and tell you to work on your license before you actually get in the car. transfers are the 30. i bet we will both stay. man i am so so so excited for the baptism!!! i wish i could be there. just make sure you remember those covenants brevin. they are so so important. and you will have them for the rest of your life. it isnt just a day thing. keep strong!! i would just love letters from you all for the half way. i love love getting letters and hearing from you all. just that and maybe some money instead. i just need warmer clothes. i am so glad you got the photo cards! maybe if they could just be sent back the next time you send a package? sister b talks about wanting american sweets sometimes. so maybe that?

things are good though. we are working to find new people to teach more and more. it is rough, especailly through the rain. no one wants to stop. but it will be ok. love you all so much. thanks for your love and support. have a great week and a great baptism!! love you kids!:)

When the rain came down

 hey you kids.

well this week.. it rained. and rained. and rained a little bit more. oh and it was a bit cold. my shoes still havent dried out. but hey, at least we arent roasting anymore.

whoa it seems like brevin had a super great birthday. dude HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! now you are 8. isnt that so so cool? i cant believe it. you are getting so big. can you send me one of those cute baptism announcements? those are great. and whoever did the photos, they look awesome. my brother is a stud. and you had a wizard birthday party. that sounds really cool. did you talk in british accents the whole time? that would be cool. i wish i could have seen it though. thats sweet.

lets see. today we are going to coalville and ravenstone. i am excited to see where my family come from. it is going to be really cool. i will take some photos to send to you all next week. sorry i forgot my cord this week to send some. thank you so much for praying for our investigators. pray especially for GB. he is needing some serious prayers right now. but he is doing well. i sent the cards and a letter/ the testimony for brevins poster last week. so it should be getting there soon. sorry it took ages.

sister bornemann is doing really well. still trying to get adjusted into the missionary lifestyle, because it takes a bit.. but she is great. we are having fun and she is teaching me lots of danish. even danish christmas songs. its sweet! and feeding me danish sweets.. that taste like salt and black licorice. yum.. and she feeds me fake meat. (since she is a vegetarian) its not to bad actually. i do have a few pen pals that the kids could right. one family in our ward, the grants, have a son that is eight that reminds me sooo much of brevin. and a little girl that is 13 that mckenna could be friends with. they are great. and ryan, sarah jones in my ward.. man she is cute. did you want to write to her? haha! favorite sisters.. i love all of them. there are some that i would love to serve with!!

we didnt get to hear all of conference, but most of it. we have the last session that we can listen to but we just need to find the time. hopefully soon. i love conference. it is a time of inspiration and learning. i loved when president monson said that it was the most inspiring conference he had ever been to.

so today i was reading 1 nephi 4 and about the army of helaman, in accordance with obedience. because that is something i am always striving to do.. be more obedient. and i noticed, nephi is so very nervous to follow the direction of the spirit. he is afraid to kill laban because he has never killed anyone before. but he knows that the lord doesnt command us to do anything unless it is good. so he does it. and look what come out of it. the same with the army of helaman. they know that they have to be obedient to the lord, as well as to the things that their parents have told them.. beacuse that is where the best outcome will come. from being obedient. we have so many things that they lord asks of us, and at times they can be really scary to do.. but we MUST do them. we wouldnt want to hinder any blessings or growth because of disobedience. keep the commandments. just do it. (nike)

well i hope that you all have a great great week. and a fun break from school. do something fun and dont forget to practice your british accents. those are important for when we come back. but really no one sounds like harry potter over here.. only me. i love you all and am so grateful for your prayers and love and support. thank you for all that you do for me. you are incredible. i know that and the lord knows that. he needs, you. we are on his side.

love you kids.

love, sister j xx

oh do i love mondays. reading emails from everyone is the best. sorry ken ken though that you arent feeling well. hopefully that clears up, or you just decide to get those tonsils o-u-t. but really i just hope you get better soon. brev way to rock the halls. that was way cool to see. you are a hoose. what book are you reading now? and ryan i didnt know that you are doing debate. that is really cool. mom and dad, you guys just rock. and kace and benny and dan. i love my family. you are all doing great things and i love to hear about all of them.

wasnt conference amahzing?! i think that i had a lot of favorite talks. the one sessions we heard were the saturday and then sunday morning. i downloaded the others to my flash drive and then we are watching relief society on wednesday with the ward. that will be really good. i loved edward dube's talk and elder menyes. they were both really good. and of course always the prophet and apostles. conference was just all very inspiring, just like president monson said. isnt that cool?! but we had an investigator there for the last session last night. GB is his name. and he loved it. he has been wondering about the prophet so to see him was so good for gb. he said he could tell that the prophet was different. i love that. he noticed the spirit that came from president monson. hopefully gb will make his date.

so our investigators that you can pray for would be gb, jay, carrie-ann.. and a few potentials you could as well.. jade, iram, and lin. less actives would be the dennisons and ellen murray. those would be the main people that you can pray for. thank you so much! i know that will help for sure.
next week we are going to coleville. yay! and i will find out what i can about our family. do you have an address or anything that i could use? more info please? i am sending the photos soon. i got an envelope to send them home so they will be there as soon as i print some out for myself. i dont really know about shoes.. they are falling apart. i just have to find time to get new ones.. maybe soon. football team would be the one i was on this week for ward football. haha i love playing.. and yes i am the only girl. fav elder. well elder call of course! he is great but i think a lot of them are great. i have made some really really good friends so that is awesome! things are good though. i have no real requests for next month. just good stuff i guess.. haha love that. i have been reading jesus the christ. it is big and really hard to understand at times. but i do love it! i just want to learn more and more about the savior. he is our ultimate example. and i want to learn more of him.

well guys. i love this work. i just want to work hard and i want you to as well to find people to teach and bring into the gospel. its an amazing work. take things that you learned from conference and apply them today! you all are wonderful and i am so blessed with the best family ever. i love you lots! keeping being the best.

Sitting in a puddle of dirty water

 yoyo homedogs.

it sounds like you all are doing great. just being the best. first off.. wow i am so impressed with my younger siblings. they are hooses. brev being in the friend. i definitely need a copy of that. can i get a whoop whoop? mac being the best vball player around. thats awesome! and ryan going to the temple every week. does he just go by himself? i think that is sweet. i wish i could be his friend. and macs friend. and brevs friend. oh i get something even better.. to be their sister!! and it sounds like dad and gpa had a fun alaska trip. the photos slash videos were really cool. next year when you go can i join? (who needs school anyway right?) brevin. i cant believe that you are going to be baptized soon! what day are you going for? and ryan gets to baptize you. that is so sweet. you will send me photos right? and if you wanted to have a cut-out of my face there.. haha that would be fine. but i am glad that everything is going well for you guys. keep being the best and praying and reading. you are great examples to all. everyone that i know is.

this week in nuneaton was about as good as sitting in a puddle of dirty water. haha we had nine lessons fall through and had to drop an investigator because he was just not progressing at all. he kept canceling appointments and not coming to church. so we will see what happens there. there were some highlights throughout the week though. here is the highlight real: we found a chinese lady with two kids. she could barely understand us but gave us her contact information anyway. (it just proves how prepared the chinese are. when china opens up completely for missionary work.. man it will explode.) we had dinner yesterday with a really cool family, the withingtons. the dad just ran the wales iron man a couple weeks ago. and the mom is running the london marathon next april. they are like the o'verys. its way cool!! ok and yesterday was great. one of our investigators, GB, has not been able to come to church because he works on a sunday.. but yesterday he came for sacrament meeting. everyone was so glad to see him and he loved it as well. it was the best! then we had a lesson with him last night at a members home that went really well. he had a lot of questions about family history work because of the fast and testimony meeting. but it was awesome! we also had a random woman show up at church yesterday that we dont think is a member and we couldnt really understand her. but she came into the class that sister bornemann and i were teaching. and as she was talking at first i was getting a bit annoyed.. but then i had an overwhelming feeling of love come over me for that woman. she is a daughter of heavenly father. just as we all are. she is special and he loves her just as much as he loves all of us. after that i could understand her a bit better and know how to help her. i know that as we really work to love everyone that is when we will grow. the lord has commanded that we love everyone. it is not a big task. but something that we all can do a bit better. i want to challenge you all to find someone that you can love a bit more this week. will you do that? ok great! i promise that you will feel the holy ghost more in your lives and find so many more people to love.

so also i am learning danish. i had a notebook that i have s bornemann write down different sayings in danish and then i write what it means and how to say it. haha i tried to read her book of mormon the other day.. yeah it was too tough for me. i just sounded like an idiot. and she gives me danish sweets... they are basically black licorice with salt. i gagged a little bit. she thought it was hilarious. she needs to try american sweets. like sweddish fish, peachy penguines, sour watermelon, candy corn, chocolate licorice, pb m and ms, things like that. maybe we can find some over here. they do have lucky charms here.. but for 5 pounds.

i didnt end up getting the hoodie because they arent for sure doing them yet.. hopefully soon. i have heard that halloween is getting a bit bigger over here, but they all dress up more scary then anything. we have seen a few decorations. i will send the photo card so so soon. sorry sorry. its starting to get cold and i am bummed because i left my coat in lincoln. hopefully i can either get it back or have to get a new coat. we will see. and my shoes are falling apart. but i love them and i dont really want to get new ones. sister bornemann may make me get new ones today though.. the ward is good. we are trying to work with them to find more people to teach.. aka their friends. but its a very slow work. we are trying some new things though. and being patient. i would love to serve in wales. on the coast. milford haven actually. but in a car would be the best. haha we will see though. i would love to serve in wales.

we are doing good though. just working hard, especially this next week, to find new people to teach. this area is hard to find people in so us and the elders are just trying to do our best. talk with everyone. find teach and baptize. thank you for your support and sacrifice and love. you all are doing wonderful things and i am so grateful for the family and friends that i have been blessed with. you can change lives with your examples.. so keep it up. i love you all so much and hope that you have a great week. keep on keeping on.

love you.

New companion

 heyya fam.

well yes. i am still in nuneaton. and it is great. my new companion is named sister bornemann and no she is not from utah. she is from... denmark. another european companion. and i love her. she is 20 and has two sisters and a brother. she can speak danish and is teaching me a little bit. the coolest thing is that her uncle served here in nuneaton about 16 years ago and a lot of people remember him! thats cool. she is great though. i would say one of my favorite companions so far. we get along really well and she is so funny. but yeah. loving that.

nuneaton is still good. we had transfers this week and it was so fun to be able to see everyone at the mission home. elder call and all my old friends and new friends. i love mission friends. you know those are the ones that are going to last for a long while. because you are going through the same thing as each of them. at the same time. and everyone was so nice and kept telling sister bornemann how great i am. except i am not that big of a deal. it surprised me how many people said it though. i felt blessed. its also really crazy because i am now one of the longest out sisters in the mission. its crazy. but cool. there are so many missionaries in our mission. 280.

so this week we had a pretty cool miracle. we were tracting on saturday. late. and no one wants to talk to you really ever if you knock on their door, but especailly if it late at night. so we stopped that because it was not one bit successful. so we started calling some potentials and formers. and we got a return appointment with a former.. and she came to church yesterday. that was awesome! she was really nervous but eventually settled in and was really excited to be there. she is great. and we are really working with our other investigators to help them progress towards their baptismal dates. its going good. i love that the Lord knows eacho of us. he is excited and willing to help us. as long as we are obedient.

i do love missionary work. finding is for sure the hardest thing in this area but we are hopeing to do some good finding this week and find new investigators. s bornemann is excited to work hard and we are going for it.

thank you for all that you do for me. i love you all so so much. i have the best family eva. keep working hard and keeping in mind the Lord at all times. He loves you and i love you. have a great week. i am excited to hear more and see more great photos!

Great week!!

 hiya family.

ok first off. the multimedia for this week was GREAT!! i did love it so much. ryan and brevin have deeper voices. and man everyone looks the same, but also so different. its nuts. but you all look so well and i loved hearing your voices and seeing your faces. like brevin said, christmas will be awesome and we can skype together. we made a conference slash christmas countdown chain this week so we are well excited about that.

imma send the photo cards soon. i have almost filled up two, so i will dont worry. im a bit nervous to, but i will do it dont worry. they are pretty funny a lot of them. i hear from the mulliss family every week via email. and heather called me the other day. she and the kids sent grandma a package. they are great. sister moser is doing so good. we have so much fun together and just loving life. we are a bit sad for transfers this week but have loved being companions. thanks so much for the chips ahoy.. we loved that!! real cookies!! the youth have seminary at the chapel in early morning. i am so grateful that i could have it during school. we are very blessed. i am ready for winter actually. it will be really good. it has started to cool down here. back to wearing the windbreakers! i left my coat in lincoln because of space.. so i might need to get a new one soon. itll have to keep another sister warm this winter. the best food in nuneaton.. would have to be our mac and cheese that we eat just about everyday. love that. and i made some rice chicken tacos the other day. they werent as good as moms. but they were pretty good. everyone feeds us curry. well two of our investigators. and i do not really like curry. its not my fave. i miss mexican food. so we make our own sometimes.

well we had quite a better week that last week. we taught a few more lessons. our investigator GB is a hoose. we taught him the law of chastity and he went off on a ten or fifteen minute lesson teaching me all about true love. he was saying that if someon will drink poison for you.. then its true love. it was the best! and we saw the dennisons again this week which was awesome! they are great. we had a lesson about samuel the lamanite and the kids all read from the book of mormon. and we had the mom talk about prophets. it was great. i love that family.

so we have some members here that drive us to church each week. and they have a cool map in their back seat. i have become a lover of maps and dictionaries now. i think that i just crave that knowledge. so brother brown bought me my own little map of this area. i studied it a bit last night. haha im a nerd. s moser and i have also come up with this game that we play. we walk by a lot of people who are on the phone. we will hear part of their conversation and then continue it as if it was our own.. in a british accent. its the funniest thing. well we think that we are pretty funny. funniest in the mission. thats for sure!!

well i dont have loads of time today because we went to a place called kennilworth as a district for pday. thats one why i am emailing late, and two why i cant really email the girls. sorry guys! i love you and will write you good ones next week. thanks for all of the love and support that you give to me. i am very blessed.

i know that this church is true. sometimes we may wonder and question, but as long as we put our trust in god and allow him to help us.. we will know. he will answer our prayers. i know that. i feel so blessed to be able to serve a mission at this time. there are a lot of cool things happening in the church right now and i love that i can be a part of this wave. we are examples in all that we do. be a good one.

love you lots.

Sister Egbert & Sister Moser

 hey hey you you.

i never know how to start emails, its kind of awkward i think. it was really good to hear from you guys this week though. you sound good. i am so glad that gma is doing ok. i am a bit worried about her, but i know that the lord will take care of her. give her my love and let her know that i got her email and letter. she is wonderful and i am so grateful to have great grandparents. kiddies you all sound great with school and quidditch club and volleyball. i hope that you are loving it and i hope that you got my letters? i love to get your handwritten letters so yeah.. you can write back;) but just keep being awesome. sometimes i think about what you kids are doing and becoming, and i really miss you. but in know that you are growing and becoming amazing kids and when i can see what you a have become.. itll be amazing. mind blowing. you bless my life. keep reading your scriptures personally everyday and praying. heavenly father wants to hear from you and he loves when you ask for his help. remember that. and that i love you.

we had a pretty average week in nuneaton. i was told i sounded like i was scottish again. (i will go there one day. who wants to come?) had a lot of floggage from our investigators, which was rough. but we did have a really good lesson with our investigator gb. he is indian and hasnt been able to come to church yet because of his work. he works at a pet supply shop that his uncle owns and is the only person that works there. so seven days a week 9 to 9 at the shop. he wants to come to church so badly, but his uncle says that he cannot. we found though that he can come to conference in a couple of weeks so that will be great! anyway everytime that we have him read he reads it from his hini book of mormon and can relay back to us exactly what is going on. he really understands what he is reading and loves learning. and we randomly saw him yesterday as we were biking home through nuneaton. he is cool.

we did get the package dad, thank you so much. you went way way above and beyond what i was hoping for. thank you. sister moser is doing really good. we are really learning from eachother. she teaches me so so much. and i love that. i think that coolest thing about companions is the amount of things that you can learn from eachother. i have found that with each of my companions. they are wonderful. the other missionaries in our district and zone are awesome. we have four elders in our district and two other sisters. and the zone is pretty big. i wish you could meet them all. one of our zone leaders is from the netherlands and is a star vball player. is he coming to play for byu when he gets home. and is came out with scott. (who i got to talk to the other day. love that) but yeah. the other missionaries really are so awesome. its fun to become friends with so many different people and to learn about their cultures and lives. friends for life. i think coleville is out of our zone, but i am pretty sure if i asked the assitants it would be ok for us to go there on a p day. that would be cool. that info was really awesome. you could definitley get me an address and i can see if i can get there. i would love that.

this week i had a few ideas as i was studying about study and from the ensign. i think that we should come up with a family mission statement. we could put it up as a sticker in the house or something cute? i also was thinking about family scripture study and how i really want to have a study that we do together each sunday. me here and you there? and i just want the kids to prepare as best as they can to serve missions. i know how important it is for the youth to prepare early. the lord needs and expects the best of the best. let me know what you think of those ideas.

i have loved the things i have been able to learn this week. as hard of a week as it was, i learned a lot of good lessons. and found a lot of things that i want to work on and become better at. heavenly father has a lot for me to do and i want to help him as best as i can. he loves us and has blessed us with knowledge that we cannot and will not receive anywhere else. we must turn to him and let him help us as we help  him.

i love you all so much and am so grateful for the love and support that you give me. i miss you, but know that this is where the lord would have me be. i have figuring out my purpose as a missionary everyday, and am working to fulfill it. thank you thank you. we are so blessed.

love you kids,
sister egbert xx

Good week in Nuneaton

Sister J with her district

got an exercise ball

Chinese name tag

tiny little frog
 hiya fam.

well this week was a good one. nothing too exciting happened. but it was good. we were able to do quite a bit of service this week for a member and a charity shop. that is pretty fun. i got to mow a lawn and chatch baby frogs. and we lifted some shelved up stairs. that was some good exercise.

oh one of the best things that happened this week happened on friday. we went around to see a less active family, the dennisons. they have three kids. ruben is 11, ethan is 9, and tabitha is 8. those kids honestly are so funny and wild at times. the parents are also wonderful. we were able to have a really good chat with them and get to know them better. they are a great family. and i now have a goal to get them returning. the kids arent baptized, but they all live a church life. they keep the commandments and are so happy.

we also were able to help at a wedding that was going on in the ward. it was for a mother and daughter. two for one. the daughter had gotten married in american two weeks ago so hers wasnt a legit wedding, but the mom was getting remarried to her exhusband. it was a beautiful day. but something that did stick out to me, was when the bishop said ''till death do you part.'' that struck me and i knew that it wasnt right. we as members have the knowledge that we can be sealed as a family for time and all eternity. that is such a blessing. i am so grateful for that. i wont settle for anything less than a temple marriage, because until death just isnt enough. thank you mom and dad for your example of an exemplary marriage and family. i am so grateful for that!

we came home one day this week to find our bathroom slightly flooded. the lady that lives in the flat above us had left the tap running in the bathroom and it flooded into our flat and the one below us. it has smelled in there for days now but it is finally dry and getting better. that was quite the day though.

its been good in nuneaton as i have been able to get to know the ward members a bit better. they are wonderful people and we can learn so much from them. they are so willing to serve us as we work and i love them all. keep helping the missionaries at home.

sorry there isnt a ton of time today, but i love you all and want you to know that i have a testimony of this gospel. it is such a blessing that we have. sister moser finished the book of mormon today and we talked a bit about how true it is. it is an incredible book and we are so blessed to have the knowledge that we have. than kyou for raising me in this gospel and giving me the opportunities that i have had. i am so blessed to be serving and am already forever grateful for the things i have learned so far. i hope that i can continue to learn more and more.

love you all.

love, sister egbert. xx

Hello duck!

hi duck. (every old person here either calls us duck or bab. gotta love it.)

happy birthday to ken ken and benji!!!

how are you guys? mom i love hearing about everyone individually like you have been sending lately. that honestly is the best things. i love to see how everyone is doing and what they are up to. it sounds like you all are having a great time. and starting school. how is it kids? brev, stick it out. you only have 16 or so year left of school. you can do it!! and mac dog. what the babe. you look what too old in those pictures, but so pretty. how tall are you now? wearing my clothes too? weird. ry love the fanny pack. so much. i wish i could be in high school right now so that we could be friends. you honestly are the best. can we be bffs? mom and dad you sound like you are doing good as well. hopefully gma jo is doing ok. its good to hear all of the fb stuff as well. crazy crazy stuff is happening, but i am so excited for everyone. gotta love that. keep me updated on the dodge. the multimedia this week was so good. i loved it!! oh and i got a package from kace and russel and julie this week. tell them thank you so much and that i will write to them soon. i love my family. i am so so blessed.

alright this week. two major happenings. one. we were biking the other day while it was raining and we passed a skate park. i decided that i wanted to go over a jump or two. the first one was not to bad, but the second one was much too steep for my bike. the front tire slipped and there i went, over the handlebars. i cut up my hand and my knee. haha but it wasnt too bad. just really funny. there were some little boys there that asked to get out of their way while i was on the ground. two. sister moser and i cut my hair this week. just chopped it off. it actually doesnt look that bad. i cut it and then she made sure it was even. we make a good team.

sister mckenna moser is so great. she is a lot like dani personality wise and i love it. we get along so well. she is from ogden and a fmaily of 8 kids. she has nannied and worked at a grocery store. she just had her 21st birthday yesterday. but really she is great. and she just loves everyone. the ward, investigators, and random people. that is something that i am able to be learning from her. how to love people. that is something that she rocks at! you would love her.

nuneaton is a great area. much smaller and closer together than lincoln. but it is really good. the ward is great and there are qutie a few families here. its a bit more posh than lincoln as well. our investigators are cool as well. we have two on dates. GB and James. and we were blessed to find two new investigators this week as well. we were playing football one night with the ward and two ladies came up to the chapel. they were interested in what we believed and did. we invited them to church and taught the daughter a lesson as well the next day. they are so cool. the other new investigator is actually our neighbor. and she knows some members. its sweet to find new people to teach. one day we will just receive all of our investigators through members, because that is how is should be, right? so keep trying to find people for the missionaries. they love it!

i would love that info about leicester. if we can get there, which we should be able to, that would be so cool to find out and see where my ancestors are from. thanks.

the fact that i have less than a year is absolutely nuts. i mean i am really excited to see you all again and start school and what not. but it is so weird. today i was actually thinking about not having a companion with me all of the time.. that was the weirdest thought. being alone. i dont know how that will be. haha sometimes it feels like i have only ever been a missionary, but at other times it feels like i was just there.. playing just dance, hiking, watching dispicable me, and just being with you all. but i wouldnt give up this time for anything. yes it can be hard to be away from family and friends. really hard. but these new people that i have met, and the expereinces that i am having are priceless. i have 11 more months to serve, and a lifetime to think about it. i better get working.

this work is for everyone. not just those of us with badges. we are priviledge to wear the badge, but you have them on your hearts. we are ALL enlisted. i guess that is something that i have really learned. members are so important in this work and i want to do all i can as a member and a missionary to further the cause. i feel like i have learned so much this week and desire to learn so much more. thank you so much for all that you do for me. you do so much and i am beyond blessed to have you all. thank you for your prayers and love. keep praying for the work please. you are in my prayers daily and i love you all so much! cheers for everything. really.

we can do hard things.

sister j xx

Week 2 in Nuneaton

 hiya family.

so good. every week. i honestly love p days and they seem to come so quickly.

week two in nuneaton was really good. we did finding, teaching, football playing, and laughing. it is really good. before i forget i will answer the questions. sorry i am rubbish at answering them sometimes.
i love my  new comp. sister moser. she is so so funny, we are always laughing. she is the middle of eight kids and the first missionary as well. it is her birthday in one week so if you want to send her cards, do that! the area is smaller than lincoln, and we do a lot of walking. not really any biking. i do really miss my bike. loved that thing, even though it was way to big. i miss riding it. the district is huge. 10 missionaries and i love them all. we have the elders here in nuneaton who are great. some elders in warwick and some sisters in chelmseywood. and the zone is the conventry zone. sadly. its not with elder call, but i may see him one of these days. he is in the zone right above me. we arent as close to the mission home as i think we are. it would take maybe half an hour to get there. but since it isnt in our area we wont go there much. just as normal. but we get to see president and sister rasmussen this week so that will be good. i love them. sister rasmussen and i have become such good friends. i was able to talk to e hainey on transfer day. he is being trained by my good friend elder taylor from lincoln. i am so excited. he sounded a bit nervous, like every new missionary. but i am sure that he is doing so good. the area is good though. i havent really gotten to know many families yet, but it is coming along. the ward seems so so good. and i am excited to continue to get to know them. we have a wedding this week so we are excited about that. it is one of the elders investigators who is the getting baptized on saturday. so so cool! we were able to get one of our investigators on a sooner date so that is really exciting! he is super excited and wants to do all he can. so hopefully that will be good! everything though is good. there is always more for me to work on and become better at though. i am working to improve myself everyday. and this is one of the best times for me to grow, as a missionary. this time is preparing me for the rest of my life. mom thanks for the article from deseret news. that was really good i am going to try to print that out so i can have it to read from daily.

it sounds like you all are doing so good though and having so much fun. good luck starting school this week. it will be so good. and you all will just hoose it up. i love that you just let me know how things are going for you guys. i love to hear about the fun that you have and the things that you are doing. and i love getting the photos. the multimedia section of the email is maybe my favorite part. mac dog you are cute to put those instagram photos of me up. i am going to send my cards soon. dont worry. do you want anything from england? also so cool about all of the people that are serving missions! oh mally emailed me this week with a photo of her belly.. nuts. she is the cutest pregnant girl! and she is having a girl. yeah!

haha sometimes i write the most awkward emails sorry.. i just never know what to tell you about. there is so much going on everyday and i just wish that you could all experience it with me. there are things that happen that shock you and things that you just know would happen. there are times when i want to do this for the rest of my life, but times when i cant wait to see you all again. (ok that is everyday) but i have to have more experiences to share with you first. i want you to meet all of these people that i have met because there are friends here that will be my friends for the rest of my life. members, missionaries, investigators. i love it all.

representing jesus christ though is something that we can all do all of the time! we are full time messangers of him gospel and we must share it with everyone. we are all missionaries and have a great work ahead of us. that is the most important duty, to preach the gospel. thank you for all that you guys do. you are my best friends and my best family.. ha and only;) but i am so grateful for the solid support that i have behind me. a family like ours is something that everyone deserves and should have. i want to make it so that everyone can have that! i love you all so much and hope that you have a great week! keep praying and sharing testimony especially with eachother!

love you,
sister jj xx

Welcome to Nuneaton!!!

 Hey family.

well here we are in a brand new area. nuneaton. there are three towns here really that we work in. nuneaton, bedworth (which is where i live) and hinckley. yes that is really. i love that. because well i love president hinckley.

it was really hard to leave lincoln. on tuesday we went to the mulliss families house and spent some time with them and then they brought us home. that was so hard to say goodbye to them. it was like saying goodbye to my family all over again. heather and i just cried and hugged for awhile. i took some good photos with them so i will send those so you can see. you will absolutely love them. i am so excited for them to come over next year, and glad that i can be there when they do. oh itll be awesome! i am going to miss that area and everyone in that place, they are wonderful people and i made some really great friends there. ones that i will always remember. i was and am very blessed.

nuneaton is great though. the ward is awesome. it is a bit nicer of an area than lincoln. like a bit more posh. there are quite a few families in the area and they are great. i have already made some friends. the work is going well here. they have two investigators on a date that we are now working with. my companion is sister moser from ogden. she came out with sister curtis group. she is aweomse. i lover her already. we get along really well. getting used to a new companion takes time, but it is good. we are having a good time. and figuring out work together.

we had one expereince last night that i want to share with you. we were about to head in for the night and saw a few kids playing in the park we went to talk with them. a few skaters. they knew jeremey jones so i told them to check out his video on <> . and got contact info for one of them. so hopefully we can start to teach him.

i am excited for this week and to see the work progress here. i love being a missionary. it is the great est thing. sorry we are out of time, but i love you lots. keep working hard and praying and talking with everyone you know. you will never regret serving anyone!! love you guys

sister j

With her old district

cute Sophie Mulliss

Loving Hinckley!!

Will she be transferred?????

 hey pals.

it sounds like you all are doing so wonderful. i cannot believe that summer is almost over for you guys. it flew by. soon it will be christmas and we can all chat together again. yeah! i am already a third of the way through. isnt that absolutely nuts. i love being a missionary though, you guys it really is the best thing ever. to talk to strangers everyday about this great gospel.. oh its amazing. try being a missionary every day because you never know who you will help.

transfers are this week and we find out tonight what is going to happen. i have really no idea. i could stay, i could go. it would be cool to go somewhere we have fam from. yesterday during fast and testimony meeting i was bearing my testimony and it hit me how much i love all of these people. they are wonderful. i cried a little. especially when heather mulliss bore her testimony. they have become my family and i feel so at home. i am excited to become that close to many other people as well though. there are so many more to meet. i am excited.

ryan good luck this week at tryouts. you will do great. dad what are the containers like for nitro? i am excited about that. cool for mar bear to be baptized already. i love baptisms. they are awesome.

i saw scott this week at zone conference which was awesome. he is doing good. love that kid. we also did teach our chinese investigator this week, tracy. she is awesome. she wrote my name in chinese. i want to learn that so bad. one day i will go to china. and we saw her the day after we taught her, she said she had prayed and that it went well!!! it was so neat. i love when people see the way the gospel can help them.

we were finding on saturday and talked to a girl that looked like natalie portman. she was really cool.. but lives in york. i was able to invtie her to pray and she excitedly said that she would. that was really neat as well.

guys it is so hard to tell you how great it is to be a missionary. it is unlike anything else in the whole world. changing lives and helping others is wonderful. this morning i was studying willingness. and i can across a scripture in 1 corinthians. we have to be willing to do the work of the lord and to do all we can to help him, then we will see success and receive rewards, as we are willing. that is especially important as missionaries and member missionaries. we have to be doing it for the right reason and the right purpose.

oh i am excited for this next week. it will be good. i hope that you all have a wonderful week as well. thank you for your prayers and love. i feel that all the time and i am excited to share more with you. keep reading and praying and learning. i pray for you everyday and love you so much!!

Some good finding

 hey folks.

sounds like you had a really fun time at the lundberg reunion and in ak. I love hearing about all that you guys are doing and the fun experiences that you are having. yeah that they half is over. I think im going to run it. and I now have on my bucket list to run a marathon. dani and mom and kacie? you in? oh I am way excited for matt and jake and to see elder hainey maybe soon. so cool that he is going here to the ebm. lucky kid. this is the earths best mission for sure. I hope you two younger kids have fun at rob and shelleys. I love their family. they wrote me letters a bit ago and it was so good to hear from them.

this past week was really good. I have to tell you about one of my favourite parts of the week. so we were doing some street contacting in city center. in an area that we like to call golden dragon finding area. it is right by the university and there are usually loads of students there. and Chinese students. they are the best. we stopped this Chinese student and started talking with her and walking as well. she was really cool and was telling us about her studies. we asked her how to say certain words in Chinese and asked if she would be willing to teach us. she said yes and that we could teach her about religion. so we are going to see our friend tracy this week to learn Chinese and to teach her! it was a neat experience. I am really excited!

we also had an exchange this week with our sister trainer leaders. that was really good. I love to learn from the older missionaries and get their input on certain things. they are both going home soon, but are still rock solid missionaries. I love them. and they brought me my package finally. yeah! thank you guys so much. I was loving that. especially the granola bites!

we were able to teach my good friend Gordon this week as well. Gordon is an older man that we met in the park one day. he pats my face and its slightly weird, but he is cool. he took a book of Mormon and said that he was going to read it cover to cover! what a stud. and we met another man from London who wanted a book of Mormon as well. it was just a really good finding week and we are excited to do more of it. I love finding.

oh the mulliss family are amazing. heather and I had a great chat this week after dinner while we did the dishes. I was just sharing lots of things with her and she gave me some good advice. and their kids, I just love them. baby jude is pretty cute! so they were going to come to America this year, but they have decided to wait until next year. they are planning on coming next august, right when I get home. so you can meet them. and they are trying to help elder watt get there as well so he can maybe go to byu to play football (soccer). they are some of the most generous people ever. you guys will love them.

family. I love you all so much and I really miss you. I know though, how important this work is. it is hard, but it is the lords work. if it wasn't easy for Christ, it will never ever be easy for us. we are here to serve and to further the work. we can all do our part to help him. there is one of him and so many of us. through us he can accomplish his work. so don't be afraid to do the work. I know that this church is true and our prophet, Thomas s monson, leads and guides us with inspiration from the lord. the book of  Mormon is the way to grow closer to Christ. we can learn more about him through that book, than I think any other book. it is awesome. read it. I am so grateful for this chance that I can dedicate my life to the lord and his work. it is something that I never thought I would do.. but here I am. and I love it. you can receive so much joy through this work. no matter what. even on days when it cant get any worse, you find something to make it better. a miracle. I am grateful for all that you do for me to support me while I am serving. as you serve, you realize the things that matter most, and that is family. and the gospel. so I am so grateful for all of you. I love you. more than you know.

I hope that you have a great week and see many of your own miracles!

love, sister j

Comfortable in Lincoln

 hey fam.

oh guys. I get so excited to email on Mondays, mostly just to see how you are doing and to hear about your fun experiences that you had during the week. I also love to hear your testimonies and the ways that your lives are being blessed. thank you for sharing those things with me. you are all such blessings in my life. oh and so cool that they are in Ireland this week. they will find much more then they went for. I know that. so exciting.

this week was a pretty slow slash average week in Lincoln. Monday we saw sophie, and she basically dropped us. she said that she doesn't think that she is ready to be baptized. she has a lot of poor outside influences that are leading her different ways. so there is only so much that we can do. she did come to our ward sports night so that was fun, but other than that we didn't see her this week much.
we were able to visit a 18 year old less active this week. she had contacted katy and asked that we bring her a book of Mormon. the only thing is that she lives in the mental hospital. so we went up there earlier last week. when we first got to the hospital I was really nervous. I always get nervous in situations like that.. we all know. but then we saw her and got to chat about her conversion story and just see how she is doing. it was a really neat experience and the spirit was very strong. then she came to church on sunday!!

we were able to do some service for a couple in our ward, the Henley's. they are so awesome! we went to help them pick raspberries at their allotment. that was so fun. we sang hymns with them and then sister Henley made us jam as well! then we have used the raspberries to make green smoothies all week! yum. oh and mom I brought the stand a little taller with me so I can read that again. I love that book. and I always loved how you would read that to us every morning. it was the perfect way to start the day. thank you for doing that for us. you are incredible.

one really neat experience that I want to share with you guys happened Saturday morning. I have been thinking so much about how I want to teach a family and Friday night as I prayed I was talking with heavenly father about that. then Saturday we were doing some finding on a street a mile and a half about from birchwood. we locked our bikes and then decided to walk to the end of the street and then track back. the first door that we knocked a man came out, followed by his 4 kids. I was mind blown. he at first said he didn't believe in god, but his daughter did. I wasn't expecting much from that, but then he seemed really interested. and we got a return appointment with him! I am stoaked!

s Curtis is doing really well. she honestly is the best comp ever. we had a great experience yesterday and I just know that we are going to be friends for the rest of our lives. that is one of the really neat thins about missions. the people you meet. the friendships that you make. they will last forever. love that.

the food is pretty average over here. we had a crazy dinner last night.. because we made it ourselves. it was very missionary though. basically just stuff we had in the cupboards. just saying.

this week we should all study the life of Christ. that is something that I have really been wanting to study and I hope to learn so much more from that. I love my savior and the gifts and knowledge that he has given me. it is so hard when people just don't believe, but the power that comes from bearing solid testimony of the things that you know to be true is unlike anything else. we are blessed to have the knowledge that we do and I challenge you all to share your testimonies this week to a non member. will you do that and then report next week? I love you all so much and hope that you have a fun week. mom and dad have fun in ak and say hello to everyone for me. I would love gandgs ak address. I need to write them. love you loads.
